Health coverage that checks out — without the marketplace markup.
If your ACA marketplace premiums and deductibles have gotten out of hand, you aren't alone. The good news is, you have options. At Mark Me Healthy we'll help you figure out what you need and what you don't. Then we'll put together a few options so you can compare prices side by side and land on something that actually fits your budget and your health needs.
Coverage checkup
WHAT WE COMPARE FOR YOUACA marketplace plans have gotten expensive for a lot of people who don't qualify for a subsidy.
Premiums climb every year, and if you're self-employed or your household is just above the subsidy cutoff, you can end up paying full price for a plan with a high deductible.
Open enrollment windows are short and confusing. Miss it, and you're stuck — unless you know about the alternatives that enroll year-round.
A lot of people are paying for coverage they barely use, with benefits they don't need, deductibles they never meet, and a network that leaves them frustrated. There's often a better solution, and we'll help you find it.
A simple, non-salesy conversation about what's important to you.
No pressure, no scripts — just a broker who shops the alternatives on your behalf and builds a plan tailored to you and your lifestyle.

We compare the real alternatives
Private health insurance plans, indemnity and fixed-benefit plans, and other ACA alternatives — matched against what you actually want and need.
You get options, not a pitch
We'll walk through good, better, and best options that make sense, in plain-language, including what each one doesn't cover — so there are no surprises later.
Enroll whenever you're ready
Most alternatives enroll year-round, not just during a short window. We handle the paperwork and stay your point of contact after you're covered.
Plan types we shop for you
Every household is different, so pricing depends entirely on your situation — age, location, household size, and health history. These are the categories we compare; your quote is built around you.
Indemnity & fixed-benefit
Pays a set cash amount for covered events — doctor visits, a hospital stay, a procedure, an ER visit — regardless of the actual bill. No deductibles. Great for healthy clients who rarely see a doctor but want protection for a major medical event.
Short-term medical
Temporary, budget-friendly coverage for gaps — between jobs, waiting on other coverage, or missed open enrollment. Underwritten, so pricing reflects your health history.
Accident & critical illness
Supplemental cash benefits if you're seriously injured or diagnosed with a covered condition. A common layer on top of any of the plans above.
Mark Nenno
Mark built Mark Me Healthy after watching too many self-employed folks and small families get priced out of the ACA marketplace with nowhere else to turn. He works directly with you — not a call center — to walk through every alternative plainly, including the trade-offs, so you can choose with your eyes open.

Questions worth asking before you switch
The honest answers, not the sales version.
Is this actually ACA-compliant insurance?
Most of the alternatives we compare — indemnity plans, accident plans, fixed-benefit plans — are not ACA-compliant major medical insurance, and some don't guarantee coverage for pre-existing conditions. We'll always tell you exactly what a plan is and isn't before you enroll.
Why would this cost less than a marketplace plan?
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), all marketplace health plans must cover 10 essential health benefit categories, such as maternity care and substance abuse coverage — coverage that many people don't need. By eliminating coverage you don't need and only paying for what you do, we can save you money.
Can I enroll outside of open enrollment?
Yes — that's one of the main advantages. Most of these alternatives accept new members year-round, not just during the ACA's annual window.
Does it cost anything to talk to Mark?
No. Quotes and consultations are free. Mark is compensated by the plans when you enroll, the same way most licensed brokers work — never by charging you a fee.
What if I have a pre-existing condition?
It depends on the plan type and the condition — this is exactly the kind of thing worth a direct conversation, since generic answers online can be misleading. Mark will tell you plainly what will and won't be covered before you sign up for anything.
